Worked in the power generation industry in Middle East while holding different management positions in Wartsila including that of Regional Director, Power Plants and Chairman of boards of several network companies.

During this time, obtained nearly 30 years of knowledge and experience in thermal power plant solutions in the Middle East; generating electricity to National Grid Systems and in Island Operated Power Systems for Industries. 

 

Worked with and acquired experience in:

• power generation markets by developing independent power generation projects (IPP projects) from feasibility study until handover of plant to the owner including long term O&M responsibility agreements.

​

• project management, including design, purchase of equipment, equipment delivery, site construction, and project handing over.

​

• leading various sales teams in conducting technical, commercial and legal negotiations when selling Turn Key Power Plants (EPC) and O&M to Utilities, IPP Owners, IPP Sponsors and Captive Power Plants to Industrial Owners.

• sales and project development of fast track EPC Power Plant projects up to 600 MW size.

• following market requirements, creating conceptual solution concepts and taking new solutions into business.

​

• business development by creating growth paths for existing business and expanding into new business.

​

• O&M of power generation equipment & plants including asset management, service and maintenance.

​

• creating and leading specific project sales teams to successful and profitable EPC businesses.

​

• organization transformation, people issues, and change management.

​

• starting up new companies into profitable businesses in new markets.​

​

The experience and knowledge gained is applicable to power generation projects with different technologies and concepts for producing and storing electricity including Renewable Energy such as Solar Power & Wind Power installations.
